Adoption Application

Applications may take up to a week to be reviewed. You may email us at gatewayareahumane@gmail.com to inquire about the status of your application.

The adoption fee of $250 for dogs & $75 for cats includes your pet’s:

• Spay/Neuter

• Annual Vaccines

• Rabies (if of age)

• Microchipping

NOTE: A completed application is required for all adoptions and prior to any visitations. Completing the app does not guarantee approval nor does it obligate you to adopt if approved. We are an all-volunteer organization so all visits/adoptions are by appointment only.

We do our best to ensure that the adoptable animals are in the best health possible, but you will need to take your pet to your regular vet to ensure complete health.

Keep in mind, any pet is a lifelong commitment. When considering adoption remember what life is like with work, school, hobbies, or kids' activities.

GAHS does their best to ensure all of our adoptable animals are free from parasites but this is never a guarantee. We often take in discarded animals and do not know their full medical history and can only speak on what we have witnessed at our facility.
